The Mystery of the Shady Brook Indian
One of Shady Brook Village's most intriguing landmarks is the mysterious "Shady Brook Indian" statue.
Originally called "The Golden Indian" in the 1950s-60s, Shady Brook underwent a full renovation, transforming it into a modern, Southwestern pueblo-style retreat. However, the Indian statue remained, becoming a beloved symbol of the property.
Legend has it that the statue was stolen five times—only to be miraculously returned each time. Today, his welcoming wave continues to greet guests, carrying a legacy of mystery and charm.
